Things to do in Italy in December

Italy, famous worldwide for its culture, history and food, has a variety of tourist attractions that draw people to the country. Rome, the capital city, provides its own attractions with many travelling to visit the city every year. There are many things to do in Italy, and certainly many things to do in Rome. For those who love taking back happy snaps to show everyone back home just how much fun you had on your overseas holiday, the following places are worth a visit.

Bocca della Verit?
Bocca della Verit?, the Mouth of Truth, has become a hot spot for tourists. Located in the entrance of Santa Maria in Cosmedin, the Mouth of Truth has become a must-see place for all visitors. The story surrounding the monument is that anyone who has been dishonest will have their hands cut off when they put them inside the mouth. It is unknown whether this actually happened to anyone, but it still remains a favourite for photo opportunities.

Saint Peter?s Basilica
This building can be seen from all over the city, but certain spots are better for photo taking. The Pincio Gardens lookout is the most popular place for photographing the building. The lookout is located above the Piazza del Popolo and is accessible by walking up the Spanish steps and taking a left. A visit to the building is also one of the things to do in Italy.

Colosseum
Definitely worth a visit and snapshot, the Colosseum, due to its size, is not the easiest building to photograph. Of course, being one of the most visited and most recognised sites in Italy, tourists will surely want to take a photo with it. The Oppian Hill, located on the northeast side of the Colosseum is a good place to take your shots. The view from the Oppian Hill also gives you a look at the surrounding area and will help you to see other things to do in Italy.
